Helen and I
spent two years at the Wright-Humason School for the Deaf in New York. The school aim at the
strategy of education is a lip-reading method and vocal speech training. It was
a huge challenge for her because Helen is the only deafblind student. Also, Helen studied arithmetic, physical geography, French and German. I attend her class to interpret
her all the subjects. Helen has a passion for learning, and I try my best to read all textbooks and
lectures. As a result, She got a good grade, and she was able to communicate with
other people. It was the historical moment that
she can talk by her lips. I can’t believe it is true!
